PAIA and Access to Information

Scope

This section provides guidance on requesting access to records held by Sheriff Flow in line with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), read with applicable data protection law.

How To Submit a Request

Send access requests to info@sheriffflow.com with sufficient detail to identify the requested records and the basis for access.

Verification and Process

• We may require proof of identity and authority before processing a request.
• We may request clarification where a request is unclear, overly broad, or requires refinement.
• Requests are handled within reasonable statutory timelines, subject to lawful extensions where applicable.

Grounds for Refusal or Limitation

Access may be refused or limited where disclosure would infringe legal privilege, confidentiality obligations, third-party rights, security, or other lawful restrictions under PAIA and applicable law.

Complaints and Escalation

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of a request, you may raise the matter with us first, then escalate to the Information Regulator of South Africa where applicable.
